Can-You-Still-Send-Money-During-Lockdown

Money transfers are classified as an essential service and may remain open during lockdown, however, if you want to send in cash, please call ahead and check if the branch is open. Many companies have closed their main offices in Auckland, although other locations in regional areas are open.

Some agents are offering services where customers book over the phone and pay via direct bank transfer. A few branches are choosing to close because they are in an area where there may well be community cases.

SendMoneyPacific has called the companies to find out which agents or branches are open.

NEW ZEALAND

IMEX
It has not been possible to make contact with IMEX.

Pacific Ezy Money Transfer
Offering remote services and agents outside of Auckland are open. Auckland agents are closed.

Manatu Ofa
Agents are closed for the time being. No service possible.

Frank Money Transfer
Agents are closed for the time being. No service possible.

SAV Money Transfer
Branches are still open under Alert Level 3, and also offering remote services.

The Ink Patch Money Transfer
Branches are still open under Alert Level 3.

Samoa Money Transfer Ltd
Branches are still open under Alert Level 3.

Lotus
Branches are still open under Alert Level 3. Some Auckland branches in the mall will be closing earlier on Thursday (13th August) and Friday (14th August). You can visit the Lotus website to get information on individual branch hours.

KlickEx Pacific
Some agents are open, one is closed in Auckland.

Western Union
Some Auckland locations are closed including some Post Office locations. Customers are advised to check the agent locator on WU website for locations that are open closest to them. Nationwide locations are open as usual with social distancing protocol in place. Services are also available online.

MoneyGram
Possible to send at Lotus locations, and possible to send online.

WorldRemit
Only an online service.

Ria
The Auckland based agents are working from home, remote services are available.

 

AUSTRALIA

All companies are offering services as normal.
