COVID-19 – where can you still send money in New Zealand, when many companies are having to close their doors temporarily?

These are uncertain times – and one thing you may still want to do is send money to your loved ones in the Pacific Islands. But what do you do if your usual way of sending money is shut for the moment?

We are closely monitoring the ever-changing circumstances surrounding COVID-19.  We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates.

Very few branches are offering cash money transfer services as at 26th March 2020.

Western Union state that there are NZ post locations still open located in pharmacies, and also some locations that are convenience stores. Please call their number to find out before you go as this can change at short notice. Their number can be found here under the heading for contact details.

You do have money transfer options available to you. There are many online companies that are still able to offer a service to the Pacific Islands.
