How Can You Send Money to Fiji, Samoa or Tonga?

There have been some changes to money transfer services this week. Please note that these can change on a daily basis, please always check with the company about their service availability before you send.

Sending to Fiji:

Western Union:

Receive network Fiji: Disruption to agent network in Fiji *24/4/20 - 3 (from 17) Fexco locations closed at or near airports; all 5 Unimoni locations closed; 16 of 31 Singapore Exchange agents closed; 3 of 11 City Forex locations closed.

MoneyGram:

Receive network in Fiji: Most agents open  - 10 MH  MoneyGram of 11 are open, but more expected to close soon; all Lotus locations open.

Klickex Pacific:

Mobile Wallet – Digicel. Available as normal. May be reduced availability to withdraw funds at Digicel MM Agents.

Klickex: 

No impact currently - bank account deposits not affected.

World Remit:

Vodafone mobile wallet is available to receive money.

Ria:

Agent based services temporarily suspended until further notice. Online fully operational. Vodafone mobile wallet is available to receive money.

Rocket Remit:

Offering a service from Australia.  There may be reduced availability to withdraw funds at Digicel Mobile Money Agents.

 

Sending to Samoa:

Western Union:

Some agents in Samoa are closed, please check with your agent before you send, to be sure that the money can be collected by the receiver.

MoneyGram:

Some agents in Samoa are closed, please check with your agent before you send, to be sure that the money can be collected by the receiver.

Klickex Pacific:

The Digicel Mobile Wallet is available as normal.  There may be reduced availability to withdraw funds at Digicel Mobile Money Agents.

Klickex: 

No impact currently - bank account deposits not affected.

Pacific Ezy:

The sending agents in Otahuhu and Otara are now open, others remain closed where they are in malls. Remote services remain available.

Imex:

It has not been possible to get in contact with Imex.

SAV, Samoa Money Transfer, The Ink Patch remain with remote payment or limited access to send agent cash services.

WorldRemit:

Temporarily suspended.  Due to Xpress Money suspension of service, no payout is possible.

Ria:

Agent based services temporarily suspended until further notice. Online service is fully operational from Australia. From New Zealand, services are also available remotely via email, call centre and online chat.  Can receive money directly into a bank account in Samoa, or visit the receive agent, Pacific Way.

Rocket Remit:

Offering a new service from Australia.  There may be reduced availability to withdraw funds at Digicel Mobile Money Agents.

 

Sending to Tonga:

Western Union and MG services:

Most agents are open.  Please check with your agent before you send, to be sure that the money can be collected by the receiver.

Klickex Pacific:

Mobile Wallet – Digicel. Available as normal. May be reduced availability to withdraw funds at Digicel MM Agents.

Klickex: 

No impact currently - bank account deposits not affected.

‘Ave Pa’anga Pau:

Operating as normal.

Manutu Ofa:

Has resumed their services in New Zealand.

WorldRemit:

Temporarily suspended due to Xpress Money suspension, no payout possible 

Ria:

Agent based services temporarily suspended until further notice. Online fully operational.  Can receive money directly into a bank account in Tonga, or go to the receive agent, Rowena Financial Services.

Island Flexi Transfer:

Agent location is open.

Rocket Remit:

Offering a service from Australia.  There may be reduced availability to withdraw funds at Digicel Mobile Money Agents.
