International money transfers can be made to the Pacific region through BNZ.
Sending a telegraphic transfer overseas
You can send a telegraphic transfer overseas via Internet Banking or at your nearest BNZ store. Usually received at the overseas bank within 48 hours.
You will need to provide the following details to BNZ in order to send a telegraphic transfer:
-Your full name,
-Your full residential address, including town/city and country, (i.e. No PO Boxes)
-Beneficiary’s full name,
-Beneficiary’s full residential address, including town/city and country, (i.e. No PO Boxes)
-Beneficiary’s account number (Note: IBAN if European country).
-The full name and address of the Beneficiary’s Bank
Fee Telegraphic Transfer
A staff assisted transfer will incur a NZ$25 fee, while an online self-service transfer will incur a NZ$15 fee.
In addition overseas correspondents may charge a fee for processing the TT. Unless you instruct BNZ that the Charges Our fee is to apply, then any overseas correspondent’s fees will be deducted from the payment to the beneficiary or charged to you by BNZ if the overseas correspondent has charged us directly for this service. Beneficiary bank charges may still apply.
