Transfer Operator Information
Wells Fargo account holders can send money to Fiji, Samoa, or Tonga using a foreign currency wire transfer. The initial transfer must be done in-person at a Wells Fargo branch because the sender’s signature is required and must be witnessed by a representative of the bank.
After sending the initial wire, subsequent wires can be initiated over the phone, and require the sender to:
-complete a Wire Agreement at the branch -order a personal identification number (PIN), which arrives in 10-14 business days and will be used by the sender to initiate wires over the phone
-if the sender is sending wires to the same account regularly, the sender can request a Repetitive Wire Code, which arrives in 10-14 business days and is used by the sender to initiate wires over the phone. For these transfers, only the dollar amount may change.
